2 arrested after reports of shots fired in Williamston

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. - Police have arrested two men after a report of shots fired Wednesday afternoon.

Williamston Police say it happened in the 200 block of Wilson St.
 
An investigation identified Treante Kwamame Howard and Wynton Marcellus McGhee as the shooters. They were arrested and charged with 2 Counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, 1 Count of Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property, 2 Counts of Injury to Personal Property, and 1 Count of Injury to Real Property.
 
Howard was held on a $20,000 secured bond and McGhee was held on a $30,000 secured bond.

They’re both scheduled for first court appearances in Martin County District Court on Monday.
