New Bern Police investigating shots fired and assault

New Bern Police are investigating a report of shots fired.

They say it happened on the 100 block of Simmons Street on Saturday.

They're also investigating an assault inside a nightclub on Simmons Street.

At this time, there’s no word as to whether the two incidents are related.
