2 wanted for attempted first degree murder in Sandy Cross

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, N.C. - Deputies are investigating a weekend shooting in the Sandy Cross community.

It happened at the La Pasada Hispanic Store Sunday just before 7 p.m.

At the scene they found two individuals had been shot multiple times and one had been beaten with a pool stick. They were taken to the Nash E.R. for treatment. Two were airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where they’re listed in stable condition.

It’s believed the shooting was the result of an argument over a pool game.

Two people are sought in the case;  25-year old Gabriel Yanez and 46-year-old Bernabe Puebla Rodriguez, both Hispanic males. They both have outstanding warrants for attempted first degree murder.

If you know of their whereabouts, you’re asked to contact the Nash County Sheriff’s Office at 252-4121.
