Cary police trying to ID pizzeria robbery suspect

CARY, N.C. -

The Cary Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a person believed to have robbed local pizzerias starting Oct. 20.

Police said five establishments have been robbed with the most recent being Oct. 30 at the Wellington Park Shopping Center.  In each incident, entry was made using the restaurant's back door at night while the businesses are closed. 

Police said the suspect targets cash only.

The suspect was dressed in a light colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes in the latest incident, police said. A light colored sedan appears to be waiting outside of the business during the robbery.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at (919) 226-2746 Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL at caller's request.
