Hole in wall burglars strike again in eastern North Carolina

Posted: Updated:
BATH, N.C. -

Deputies are investigating another hole in wall break-in in the east, this one in Beaufort County.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says burglars entered the Bath General Store late Wednesday night by cutting a hole through the metal siding on the building. Deputies say once inside, they broke into a floor safe and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Video surveillance captured the suspects wearing masks and gloves.

Investigators believe the crime is related to a series of business break-ins in eastern North Carolina over the past few months.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at (252) 946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at (252) 974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000.00 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
