MANTEO, N.C. -

They’ve avoided arrest making them Dare County’s most wanted.

"Most of the time when we find wanted people we find them on a tip from the public,” said Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Kill Devil Hills Police Department are looking for Luis Alberto-Rodriguez. They say he ran a red flashing warning light at the Collington Rd. intersection in Kill Devil Hills in 2012 and hit a pick-up truck. The man driving the pick-up truck was killed as a result and two other people were injured. Rodriguez was taken to a local hospital where he escaped. Deputies were able to track him down but he bonded out of jail hasn’t been seen since.

"We'd like to have closure for the victims. We want to pick them up and we want to see justice done but you know if the victim's got a perpetrator or suspect out there somewhere then they're very uneasy about that,” said Hoggard.

Deputies are also looking for Jose Manuel Gonzalez-Villanueva. He’s under a grand jury indictment for several serious drug charges. The charges stem from an undercover drug operation the Sheriff’s Office did on Hatteras Island.

"We're going to try to use every resource available to locate these individuals and we just appreciate the outlet that we have through the media, Channel 9, to assist us in that. Through you guys and the people in the community hopefully they will call and let us know where these people are or hopefully they'll see this and turn themselves in,” said Lt. Kevin Duprey, Dare County Sheriff’s Office.
