GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Police have made a number of arrests in a fatal Greenville shooting that happened in May on Griffin Street.

A judge, Friday morning, ordered a $2,150,000 bond for 21-year-old Tahkeem Staton. He was arrested Thursday and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and three counts of felony conspiracy.  Staton will be back in court Nov. 21.

Officers say Staton was involved in a fatal shooting on Griffin Street back in May.  When police arrived at the scene they found 25-year-old Willie Travon Smith and 23-year-old Deontra Deshawn Wilkes laying on the street with gunshot wounds.

Smith was later pronounced dead at Vidant Medical Center. Wilkes was treated for gunshot wounds to her lower body and legs.

Two additional suspects, Jerrell Antwan Jenkins and Demontai Battle, were arrested and charged on Friday with an open count of murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Conspiracy to Commit Murder (3 counts), and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill.

Yet another suspect, Johnathan Wooten, is being held in the NC Department of Corrections.  Police will serve him with warrants when he’s returned to Greenville.

Jenkins and Battle are currently being processed at the Pitt County Detention Center.  Their bonds are unavailable at this time.
