RALEIGH, N.C. -

Last week, Adam Levine said there are seven gears of Kat Robichaud and he wanted to see that seventh gear.

This week, she delivered all seven gears and what her coach CeeLo Green branded "Kattitude."

"If she can pull off this performance, this is the Kat we all know and love," CeeLo said.

With her husband, Guillaume, watching in the crowd, the North Carolina native tackled AWOLNATION's "Sail" with the intensity expected by her KatPack fans. Never one to ignore her audience, Kat jumped into the sea of on-lookers, literally "sailing" across the pit.

"I'm always entertained by you," Blake Shelton said after the performance. "It's almost like she's a lion walking around a heard of antelope in this audience."

Addressing her impromptu crowd surfing, Shelton exclaimed, "I was like, 'If she falls over into the audience, there's no way she can sing through that.' And you sang through it."

Jumping into the crowd, Kat explained, is a way she likes to interact and connect with her audience.

"It's such a wonderful feeling to go into the crowd and give yourself to people and share that experience," she said. "Break down the barriers between stage and audience, and just let it be one experience that everyone is having together."

The performance comes after a rough week for Kat, who was in the bottom three on her team but was saved by her coach. Last Tuesday Kat showed her softer side by performing Mary Lambert's "She Keeps Me Warm."

That softer side was something that CeeLo insisted was important to showcase Kat's diversity.

"I think that the softer moment was necessary to give people a full idea of who you are," CeeLo Green, said. "But American did not."

The performance was widely praised, even by Lambert herself, but the KatPack wanted to see the rock 'n' roll Kat, which is exactly what they got Tuesday night.

"You can be balls-to-the-walls every time you go out there, so let's give them exactly what they want," CeeLo said.

Kat's performance of "Sail" showed off her vocal range, her rock attitude -- or "Kattitude" -- and her signature flair for theatrics.

"Kat came to play today," Christina Aguilera told her. "You were in character and you were serious."

Kat said what she left out on the stage and what she showed America is exactly who she is.

"I have a stage persona that I've had for years, and that's just who I am on stage," Kat said. "Performing has always been a really great form of dress-up for me, and I have such a great time performing and being exactly who I want to be.

"That's just the way I like to perform. That's who I am."

Fans had until 10 a.m. on Tuesday to vote for Kat a number of different ways:
