Perfect pair: mom snaps adorable pictures of son napping with puppy

SANTA CRUZ, CA -

Some simple pictures a mom took of her son napping have now gone viral on the internet.

To blogger Jessica Shyba's surprise, every time she puts her son Beau down for a nap, their 2-month-old puppy Theo follows and even copies his positions.  Shyba snaps a picture and posts it to her blog, Momma's Gone City, and Instagram.  The rescue pup and his co-star have become internet sensations.  Shyba's gone from 5,500 followers to 55,000 in only three days.

"The general response that I've gotten has been one of gratitude,” said Shyba.  “That it's refreshing; it's uplifting.”

Jessica plans to put together a photo book of Theo and Beau and donate the proceeds to the Santa Cruz SPCA where they found little Theo.
