UPDATE: Person dies after fall from Carilion parking garage

ROANOKE, VA -

Thursday 11:25 a.m.

A spokesperson for the Roanoke Police Department says the victim was a 68-year-old male from Roanoke.

The spokesperson also says that based on witness interviews at the and follow up interviews, the individual intentionally jumped from the parking garage belonging to Carilion.

The investigation is  ongoing.

Roanoke City Police are investigating, after a person fell from the a parking garage near Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

The person, whose name has not been released, is dead.
