1 dead, 1 wounded in Durham shooting

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said one man was killed in a shooting Saturday afternoon in a parking lot on Lakewood Avenue.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. in a parking lot at Lyon Park, police said. An adult male was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the deceased as Quaysean Tymeek Malachi, 20, of High Point.

A second male is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

No charges have been filed at this time.
