Greenville man jailed for domestic sexual assault

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville police arrest a man for a domestic-related sexual assault.

Following a report early Saturday, November 23rd, Greenville police Sgt. Joe Friday says detectives from the GPD Special Victims Unit arrested and charged Ernest Mario Roach.

Roach is charged with one count of 2nd degree rape, 1 count of assault by strangulation and 1 county of assault on a female.

Roach is in the Pitt County detention center without bond. His first appearance is Monday.

Friday says the investigation is still open and there could be additional charges against Roach.
