Trooper: Car hits and kills woman who fell off bike

WASHINGTON, N.C. - A car hits and kills a woman who fell off her bike in Beaufort County.

Highway Patrol says the accident Friday around 10:30 p.m. on Asbury Church Road near River Road.

Troopers say 49-year-old Angela Stallings was riding her bike south on Asbury Church Road when she fell off and landed in the road. At the same time a person driving a car in the opposite direction hit her.  Stallings died on her way to the hospital.

Troopers say the will not face any charges.
