Pirates work in rain getting ready for Marshall

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

East Carolina's football team battled the inclement weather in continuing the team's preparations for the trip to Huntington, West Virginia, to play Marshall.

The Pirates worked out in a steady rain today. The hope is that the weather will be much better on Friday for the East Division clash in Conference USA.

"I thought it was a good day," said Pirate coach Ruffin McNeill. "I thought we stayed on the game plan. It was a messy day but we needed to get outside and get some work done."

The Pirates will practice early on Wednesday and then get together for a team dinner to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

The squad will then travel on Thursday for Friday's matchup with the Thundering Herd. The game is a 12 Noon kick-off and will televised by the CBS Sports Network.
