Despite the rain Tuesday, it was a happy early Thanksgiving for some Augusta seniors.
About 300 people turned out for the city Recreation Department's annual Seniors Thanksgiving Dinner at Julian Smith Casino.
There was a feast of good food and music - and even those working say they felt thankful to be there.
Yolanda Greenwood is with the Recreation and Parks Dept.
"This is our annual event that we love. It's special because it's Thanksgiving and we just love to give thanks to say out seniors are wonderful people. We love to give back to them and make them have a wonderful Thanksgiving."
The guest speaker was from the First United Pentecostal Church of Augusta.
