Man shot to death in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -

A Winston-Salem man has been shot to death and police are looking for the killer.

Police were called to a shooting shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday and found 28-year-old and found Brandon Varness Harris.

Varness was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been reported.

Police say Harris' death is the 12th homicide of the year in Winston-Salem. That compares with six deaths at this time last year.
