Henderson man accused of kidnapping, throwing woman from car

Police have obtained warrants for a man accused of kidnapping.

Witnesses told officers responding to a kidnapping call on Friday, November 29, that a woman and her boyfriend, Robert Etheridge of Henderson were involved in a disturbance outside of 5 B Mitchell Wooten. They reported that Etheridge fled the scene with the woman dangling from the vehicle.

She was later found in the roadway with injuries after a motor vehicle collision on Mewborn Ave. The woman told officers that Etheridge held her in the white Buick Regal against her will, drove to Mewborn, and then threw her from the car.

She was taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital treatment.
