Posted: Updated:
Greenville, SC -

Having a cell phone in your hand while driving may soon be illegal in Greenville, South Carolina.

The city is considering expanding its texting ban to all cell phone use. Hands-free talking would be allowed.

Using the phone as a GPS and reading directions would be against the law.

More than a dozen cities in South Carolina have banned texting while driving, but none have banned all cell phone use.
