GREENVILLE, N.C. - Greenville police are investigating where a young man was held up at knifepoint last night at the University Manor Apartments on 10th street in Greenville.

Police were called to the student apartment complex around 2:30am Friday. Police tell 9 On Your Side a young man was walking to his car when a man came up behind him with a knife.

Investigators believe the would-be robber did not get anything from his victim. They say the suspect did drop the knife and run away from the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a 5’9 light-skinned black man with an afro hairstyle. The suspect was wearing a navy blue or black pullover, jeans, and Timberland style boots.

This is the third incident where someone has been held up at knife point this week in Greenville.
