Governor McDonnell presents Virginia's 2-year budget in a speech to the joint money committees of the General Assembly in Richmond today.

A vote is expected at today's Roanoke City Council meeting about the new Krispy Kreme store.
The Roanoke Planning Commission unanimously approved re-zoning for a new store off Hershberger Road last week. City council is talking about it today. 

The Radford Planning Commission meets tonight at 5:30. They are in the beginning stages of reviewing and updating the city's comprehensive plan.

Today is the busiest mailing day for cards and packages for the U.S. Postal Service. They expect to process more than 600 million pieces of mail today. Wednesday is the busiest delivery day.
