WJBF News Channel 6 has learned an Aiken man has been arrested and is facing several charges.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested 23-year-old Michael Antwon Fuller on charges of Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Conduct First (1st) Degree, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Early Friday morning, around 4:35 a.m., investigators say officers responded to a vehicle collision on Medical Park Drive. Upon arrival, they say Fuller was located in the vehicle with a .25 caliber pistol under him. He was then placed under arrest.
A female victim arrived at Aiken Regional Medical Centers' Emergency Room indicating she had been assaulted by Fuller while inside of the vehicle.
Investigators were able to determine uller approached the victim on the parking lot of a nearby hotel and asked for a ride to the hospital. Once inside of the vehicle, Fuller allegedly produced a pistol, and ordered her to drive around.
During the incident, Fuller reportedly committed a sexual battery upon the victim. She then drove the vehicle in reverse into a tree, and was able to escape from Fuller.
Fuller is currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center, and investigators are continuing to investigate the incident, and further charges may be forthcoming.
