DURHAM, N.C. -

Investigators have identified a person of interest in the Dec. 11 murder of Saul Botello Abrimz in Durham.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office said Abrimz, 31, was found shot to death Dec. 11 at his home at 212 Andrews Chapel Road. Investigators said the homicide was likely drug related.

Investigators have identified 33-year-old Alex Antonio Cruz Alvarado, who also goes by the name Alex Lainez, as a person of interest in Abrimz's murder.

Alvarado is currently wanted for larceny of a motor vehicle and may possibly be driving a stolen white 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

Alvarado has lived at several different locations in Durham including 1707 Avondale Dr., 826 E. Trinity Ave., 5314 Hadrian Dr. and 421 Edward St. He may have also fled to Conroe, Texas, or San Pedro, Honduras.
