Aiken, SC -

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton tells us 31-year-old Lucinda Randolph, of Aiken, was involved in a multiple vehicle crash around noon Tuesday and pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m. at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The crash happened on East Pine Log Road near Kennedy Middle School.

Carlton tells us, Randolph was traveling at a high rate of speed after leaving the Walmart store on Whiskey Road, where she allegedly was attempting to elude store security and Aiken Department of Public Safety officers.

Randolph was the driver of a 2004 Pontiac and had a minor child as a passenger. She reportedly struck another vehicle head-on and then two other vehicles became involved in the crash scene.

Carlton tells us, several of the victims in this crash were transported to several local hospitals. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this crash, along with the Aiken County Coroner's Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Newberry.
