Obama to visit NC for event on economy

WASHINGTON - President Obama is scheduled to visit North Carolina for what's being called an event on the economy.

The White House announced Thursday the president will travel to the Triangle this upcoming Wednesday.
   
More details of the trip will be released in the next few days.
    
President Obama visited the state twice last year; once in Charlotte, once in Asheville.
