Fayetteville sex shop owner, robbers exchange gunfire

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -
The owner of a sex shop in Fayetteville returned fire after being shot multiple times by robbers on Jan. 8.
Fayetteville police said two armed black males entered Cupid's Boutique located at 137 N. Reilly Road around 9:30 p.m. and immediately began demanding money from an employee.
One of the suspects went to a back office and shot the owner of the business multiple times, police said. The owner was armed and returned fire although it is uncertain if any of the suspects were hit, police said.
The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.
The store owner was transported to the hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Suspect one was described as a black male standing around 5 foot 7 inches tall, 20 to 30 years of age, wearing green camouflage pants, a blue jacket with a hood and black/white shoes.
Suspect two was described a black male standing around 5 feet 7 inches tall, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a black jacket with black pants and a blue/gray winter hat with flaps.
