Pizza restaurant owner offers free deliveries during dangerous cold spell

Posted: Updated:
LIGONIER, PA - With the frightful weather outside the owner of a pizza place in Pennsylvania started offering free delivery and you didn't even have to order a pizza.

Tom Wynkoop owns Fox's Pizza Den near Pittsburgh and he decided the conditions outside were too treacherous for people in his community to be driving around.

So he posted a message on social media telling people not to leave the house if they didn't have to, and if they needed something, to just let him get it.

Whether it was medicine or food he said he would deliver pretty much anything to his neighbors if they needed it.

"I know how it's hard for elderly people to get out, and we live in an elderly community,” said Wynkoop.  “We're small and we're close and you have to be there for your residents."

Some people took Wynkoop up on his offer.  He says he made at least four deliveries.
