Two men arrested within minutes of robbing Windsor bank

WINDSOR, N.C. - Windsor Police say two men have been arrested after robbing the Wells Fargo Bank in Windsor.

9 On Your Side spoke with Chief J.T. Lane of the Windsor police who says the men entered the bank on King Street just around 4:30pm on Thursday demanding money.

Chief Lane says police were able to quickly track down the suspects on Highway 17. The robbers crashed their vehicle and were arrested. Chief Lane says the pair was not injured, and the entire incident took place in less than ten minutes.

Police arrested 50-year-old Michael Rankins and 45-year-old William Twine. Both men are from Edenton and are being held in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail under a $400,000 bone.
