Kinston police investigating second robbery at King's Restaurant

For the second time in less than a week, an armed robber steals money from King's Restaurant in Kinston. 

Kinston Department of Public Safety responded to an armed robbery at the restaurant, located at 405 East New Bern Rd., on Tuesday, January 14 at approximately 7:32 p.m.

Officers say that once on the scene they were told a male suspect entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a possibly Hispanic man, whose face was partially covered by a blue bandana.

Kinston Police say the suspect left the scene in what witnesses describe as a black KIA SUV.

No one was injured in the robbery. Kinston Police say the incident is still under investigation.
