Rocky Mount teen found dead of gunshot wound

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -

A Rocky Mount teen is dead after police responded to a shots fired call early Saturday.

Police said 15-year-old Brian Tyrik Freeman was found in the 700 block of East Highland Ave. at 12:06 a.m. Saturday.

The teen was pronounced dead on scene. 

Police say Freeman was shot by someone in a passing car as he walked down a street with a friend.

No arrests have been made as of early Sunday morning.
