Diamond Pirates Host Media Day

Posted: Updated:

East Carolina Coach Billy Godwin says he and his coaching staff are "chomping at the bit" to get started with baseball practice.

Unfortunately, the cold weather will push the start of practice back a day. ECU will officially begin their preparations for the 2014 season this Saturday.

Godwin and the Pirates hosted media day on Wednesday. Godwin and assistant coaches Dan Roszel and Ben Sanderson all spoke to area reporters to preview the season.

East Carolina opens the new season on Friday, February 14th against James Madison.
