ECU Women Win 23rd Straight at Home

East Carolina beat Rice 53-47 for the team's 23rd straight win at home.

The Owls opened the game on a 9-2 run, but East Carolina rallied from there and led 25-19 at halftime.

Jada Payne led East Carolina with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Ondrea Shaw chipped in nine points with 11 rebounds while Abria Trice scored seven points with ten rebounds.

With the win East Carolina improves to 16-2 and 4-1 in Conference USA. The Pirates are back in action on Saturday visiting Southern Miss before returning home next week to play Old Dominion.
