Pedestrian hit on Raleigh's Capital Boulevard dies

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The pedestrian who was involved in a collision Monday on Capital Boulevard has died after being transported to WakeMed, the Raleigh Police said Thursday afternoon.

No charges have been filed in the case, but the investigation of the wreck remains ongoing.

Raleigh police said an accident closed all but one in-bound lane on Capital Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.

A tow truck swerved to miss a pedestrian in the road near Old Buffalo Road 3 p.m. and hit a Mazda.

Police said the pedestrian and driver of the Mazda were transported to WakeMed for treatment
