Accident on Hwy 24 along White Oak River snarls traffic

Authorities are urging caution after an afternoon accident.

It happened on Hwy 24 long the White Oak River.

The accident happened when a box truck skid on ice, hitting two cars. It backed up traffic on the bridge for at least an hour as crews worked to clear the scene and de-ice the bridge.

Traffic in both directions has since resumed.

Officials are urging drivers to slow down and be careful.
