2nd Marine Division observes 73rd birthday

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Happy birthday to the 2nd Marine Division.

Events for Friday at Camp Lejeune were cancelled.

More than 2,600 current and former Marines who've served since World War II were set to gather today and tomorrow to celebrate its 73rd birthday.  A memorial service, re-dedication of the divisions' battle colors, and an awards ceremony was also scheduled.
