2nd arrest made in Williamston armed robbery

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. - Police have arrested a second man accused in a late January armed robbery.

It happened January 29 at the Wilco Hess on East Blvd.

Employees told officers arriving at the scene that two black males armed with handguns came into the store and demanded money before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.

Investigators say 23-year-old Javian Shamar Brown was identified as one of the involved suspects. He was arrested first and charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.  He's in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Now, police have made a second arrest.

19-year-old Jami Tyvon Salisbury is charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. He's in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail under no bond.
