Another man, Ronnie Chet William, 30, 800 Locust St. of Rogersville, was also in the bedroom at the time of the incident and was hit in the head with a pistol before Davis was shot. William was able to wrestle the gun from Bailey before he left the home.

The woman's two children, ages 9 and 7, were inside the house a the time of the shooting.

An investigation revealed that a tire on William's vehicle parked in the driveway had been cut.

Bailey was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of especially aggravated burglary, two counts of felony reckless endangerment, one count of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of vandalism.
