Dr. Louis Wade Sullivan
Dr. Louis Wade Sullivan, former Secretary of Health and Human Services under President George H.W. Bush, lived with relatives and attended school in Savannah. During his internship and residency he conducted research into the correlation between blood and diseases. Sullivan made several discoveries concerning alcohol and blood health, Dr. Sullivan was the founder and long-time president of Morehouse College School of Medicine.
