Anchor a-TIE-er -- And the winner is!

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Thank you to the hundreds of people who have voted to dress their anchor.  The poll is now closed and the winner is #5!  It was my favorite, too.  But I also promised to grab the 2nd place finisher, which is #3.  We've left the photos up so you can click through to see what you've chosen.  But the final results are:

#5:  39.1%
#3:  18.8%
#1:  16.3%
#4:  16%
#2:  9.8%

I'll let you know when your choices hit the news desk.  Thank you to all who took the time to vote.  I am shocked at how many people participated.  Thank you colourbasis.com for your help.  Since our viewers seem to love this idea, I will absolutely do this again.
===================== previous story =======================

A Facebook poll two weeks ago found WNCT viewers playing fashion stylist.  Our viewers selected my new tie.  It was a silly little poll that quickly took on a life of its own.  This time around, we're opening it up to everyone at WNCT.com

Take a moment and choose the next selection.  Attached to this article are five photos of five new ties.  You'll also find here a poll.  Each choice is numbered 1 through 5.  Click the choice you would like to see me wear the most.  I'll buy it or possibly the top two, then let you know when you can catch it on air.

Where else do you get to dress your local news anchor?  Enjoy shopping with someone else's money.  I can't wait to see what you choose.
