Shoplifting call leads to mobile meth lab

Posted: Updated:
Three Pennington Gap, Virginia men have been arrested after Norton Police received a call about shoplifting, but that's not all the accused got busted for.

According to investigators, the owner and victim of the credit card also owned the car where the mobile meth lab was located. The victim gave consent for police to search the car. Police said one of the three suspects is related to the victim, but would not specify whom.

Once Norton Police, Virginia State Police and the Drug Task Force searched the car, they found what they believe to be a mobile meth lab.

Norton Police said the shoplifting and suspected meth lab both took place at the Wal-Mart in Norton around midnight, Friday.
