BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) - A 20-year-old Manatee County man was shot and killed early Sunday morning following a disturbance at a residence in the 3500 block of 30th Lane East in Bradenton.

The dispute turned physical and witnesses say Edmond began beating the woman with a handgun. Another resident, 34-year-old Ryan Harmon, observed the altercation, pulled out a gun and shot Edmond.

So far no charges have been filed as detectives determine if Harmon fired in self-defense.

The investigation continues.
