UNICOI COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - Unicoi County Director of Schools Denise Brown confirmed Monday that a teacher within the school system has been suspended without pay while an investigation is being conducted.

Brown woud not give any details about the investigation. She would not comment on what prompted the investigation, what school the teacher works at or the name of the teacher.

The Unicoi County Sheriff's Office is involved in the investigation, according to Brown.
