Grifton vet opens new, larger clinic

Posted: Updated:
GRIFTON, N.C. - The only veterinarian in the town of Grifton has outgrown their practice and now they're opening a new, larger clinic with state of the art technology.

Dr. Ivy Oakley Heath opened Faithful Friends Veterinary Hospital in Grifton in 2008.

Now, the vet is a community mainstay with a new clinic and new services and technologies

Faithful Friends has been recognized as one of the top practices in the country. Their focus isn’t just dogs and cats, but goats, llamas, and even alpacas, which have made visits to the practice.

The vet accepts both emergency visits as well as less urgent cases.

Many people travel far away to visit the Grifton practice because of its specialty in dermatology and second opinions.

"We practice top quality, high quality medicine emphasizing the human/animal bond in everything we do,” said Dr. Ivy Heath, faithful friends. “And so, I wanted what we did on the inside to be shown on the outside.”

The practice, located on Highway 11, has also been featured at the American Veterinary Conference as a leader in technology medicine.
