The Camden County Sheriff's Office is adding half a dozen new vehicles to its fleet to replace some of the department's older vehicles.
The department chose the Chevrolet Tahoe because of its reliability, safety, cost-effectiveness, and practicality, officials said.
The first three vehicles were delivered on Valentine's Day.
The new Tahoes will replace some of the Sheriff's Office's old Ford Crown Victorias, which are popular amongst law enforcement but are no longer being made.
Each Tahoe costs $40,000 and are fully-equipped with lights, sirens, radar and decals, officials said.
