A small oven fire prompted the evacuation of the famous Johnny Harris Restaurant Tuesday morning.
Savannah firefighters responded and were able to extinguish the fire before any major damage was done.
A representative for the restaurant released this statement to News 3:
"Johnny Harris Restaurant would like to thank the SavannahFire Department who arrived on the scene of a Smoker Fire in our kitchentoday. Everyone was safely evacuated and Johnny Harris will reopen forDinner at 6:00pm this (Tuesday) evening"
