A Statesboro man has been indicted by a Grand Jury in connection with an October homicide in Savannah.
Jemari Dyqwann Carter is charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, two counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
According to the indictment, Carter shot and killed Audie Murphy on October 19, 2013.
Murphy's body was discovered on the ground behind the New Covenant Holiness Church in the 900 block of East Duffy Street.
No motive has been released.
