Hundreds of people turned out to honor the assistant cameraman killed in a filming accident near Jesup last week.
The funeral for Sarah Jones, 27, was held Wednesday afternoon at Ashland United Methodist Church in Columbia.
Jones was a native of West Columbia but most recently lived in Atlanta.
She studied media and film arts at the College of Charleston.
Friends and family remembered her today for her spunk and dedication.
"Sarah had such a passion for living, it was amazing. When she tackles something she is certain to see it through," said Reverend Joel R. Jones.
Jones was killed last Thursday when she was struck by a train in Doctortown.
One of her colleagues said he and Jones ran down the train trestle as the train approached but Sarah was unable to get out of the way in time.
The crew Jones was a part of was filming a portion of "Midnight Rider" which is based on the life of musician Gregg Allman.
Variety.com is reporting that production on the film has been suspended.
Crew members have been sent home but they have also been told that they will be recalled at some point in the future.
