The Glynn County Police Department says a juvenile was attacked inside a Brunswick Walmart early Sunday February 23rd.
On Thursday, members of the combined City/County Violent Crimes Task arrested four men in connection with this attack that police say may have stemmed from something called the knockout game.
Police say the knockout game is when offenders randomly sucker-punch strangers with the goal of knocking them unconscious with a single blow.
The entire incident was captured on the store's security video, and the victim can be seen being punched by an individual later identified as 18-year-old Brandon Mikell Allen Jr. of Brunswick, Ga. The victim juvenile sustained swelling and bruising to the facial area where the punch landed.
Three other individuals Jervon Abdullah Sanderson, of Brunswick, 18-year-old Kaleb Scott
Dirting and 19-year-old Ramone Rishaun Roberson both from Brunswick, GA were arrested in connection with the assault as well. After the attack occurred, all four of the individuals fled on foot from the store.
Police say All four individuals were charged with Cruelty to Children 1st degree.
The incident is still under investigation at this time by members of the Violent Crimes
Task Force and additional charges are anticipated.
