Search in Craven County turns up gun, drugs and money

Three men are behind bars after crack cocaine, cash and guns were found.

On February 26, 2014 the Craven County Sheriff’s Office along with CNET conducted a search warrant in the 800 block of Susan Drive in the James City area. CNET is comprised of the Craven County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit as well as the New Bern Police Department Narcotic Unit.

As a result of the search, Deputies say approximately 44 grams of crack cocaine, over $1,000 in cash, and a firearm was located at the residence.
Also recovered in the investigation were five large flat screen televisions and two home theater systems reported stolen.

The suspects arrested were Joshua Bainbridge, William Glenn, and Kenneth Whitehead. The charges ranged from trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, to stolen property.

The investigation is still ongoing and more charges could be pending.
