ELGIN, SC -

The man charged with killing 18-year-old Briana Nicole Rabon last week was in court Monday morning. He reportedly waived his right to a bond hearing which means he will remain in jail until trial.

Kershaw County deputies arrested 21-year-old Stephen Ross Kelly Friday evening. He's accused of strangling Rabon to death and is charged with murder.

No motive has been released.  Rabon's body was found in a wooded area behind Haig's Creek Subdivision Wednesday afternoon.

Rabon's car was found at a Waffle House on Highway 601 near Interstate 20 and her driver's license was found near her body.

Rabon was a 2013 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School. Her funeral took place Sunday in Ridgeway with hundreds of mourners in attendance.
