A man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to fondle a woman offering him a ride then dragged her alongside a moving vehicle.
WGNS Radio reports Cortavius Marable allegedly pulled the car's emergency break after the victim pushed him away when he tried to touch her inappropriately.
He then forced himself into the driver's seat while strangling the victim, according to an arrest report.
Once the victim was able to get free of Marable's grip and exit the car, he allegedly grabbed her by the hair and started driving.
The victim was dragged down the street outside the vehicle for a short distance.
She suffered marks around her neck, scrapes on her back, ankles and wrist, and clumps of her hair had been pulled out. Her pants were also ripped from being drug along the pavement.
Marable was found a short time later and taken into custody on aggravated assault and theft charges for stealing the victim's vehicle.
He is due in Rutherford County court on May 7.
